Wheel Balancing

If your wheels are not balanced correctly you may experience vibrations in the steering wheel, seat or floorboards. You may also suffer unnecessary and inconsistent tyre wear.

NB: Wheel balancing is not the same as wheel alignment.

Wheel Alignment

If your wheels are not aligned correctly you may experience: uneven or rapid tyre wear, drifting away from a straight line or a steering wheel that is not at the 12 o’clock position when driving straight.

How do I know when my tyres need changing?

You will first notice that your tyres are worn out through the way in which your car is gripping the road when you are driving. Additionally you may not be able to brake as normal. Sometimes, it is only one tyre on your car that may need replacing as you may feel that your car is not aligning straight whilst driving. It is best to have your tyres checked by a professional if you feel a change in your driving.

How do my tyres get worn out?

Tyres generally get worn out through emergency braking, under-inflation, over-inflation, driving too fast over high bumps in the road and corners and driving through pot-holes. Best practice is to drive slowly and steadily over uneven roads and ensure that your tyres are looked after. Check your tyre pressure always free with us or at your local petrol station often. If in doubt, please contact us and we will let you know how to do this.

All-season tyres designed for all weather conditions

Car Tyres Neath Port Talbot

All-Season Tyres, sometimes referred to as ‘all-weather tyres’, are the perfect combination of summer and winter tyres. Although all-season tyres are not made for specific types of weather, they have different characteristics that allow them to be suitable for many weather conditions. That makes them surprisingly versatile and functional. The tread groves aim at evacuating water and slush, for an improved wet traction. As for the shoulder blocks, they ensure confident dry handling.

Summer tyres – great grip guaranteed!

From April to October, summer tyres are a recommendable choice for fitting out your vehicle. On both dry roads and moderate weather conditions, your tyres have to meet high demands and safety standards at all times. On that note, summer tyres offer optimal safety performance above +7 Celsius degrees. The compounds used are meant to facilitate good handling and grip, on dry and wet roads alike. Enhanced comfort, longevity and fuel efficacy are other notable benefits. Having the right tyre equipment makes you feel more connected to the road, improving your driving experience.

Winter tyres – for safe driving on ice and snow during the winter season!

Weather and road conditions can change abruptly in winter. Winter tyres have to offer a consistent, high degree of safety when it’s dry, when temperatures are low, and when streets are covered by ice and snow. The tyre mark M+S (also: M&S tyres or M.S. tyres tags) shows that winter tyres and all-rounder tyres are suitable for winter and snow. Additionally, some M+S winter tyres have a snowflake symbolising a high standard of winter tyre quality and excellent tyre grip. As a result, these tyres are a must for your vehicle in winter. Find your new tyres for every car make here today! If you are looking for reliable winter tyres, summer tyres, season tyres and performance tyres around, you have thus come to the right place.

Diagnostic Services

We take care for your vehicle

3-diagnostic-services

While warning lights can go on and the car still appears to be driving “fine”, ignoring some lights can lead to serious issues, such as engine damage or other component failure. In some instances, this can be a safety hazard. That’s why it is recommended to be safe (give yourself peace of mind) and have your car looked at by a certified professional as soon as possible. We use special tools to link to your vehicle’s onboard computer system to work out the cause of the problem. Once the code reader is plugged in, we can retrieve the trouble codes stored in your computer’s memory. These codes are exactly what dealers use to diagnose and repair your vehicle. Once we retrieve the fault codes, we can, in most instances, tell you the problem with your car, what is required to repair the fault, and the cost of repair very quickly.

Our diagnostic checks include

  • Engine management systems
  • Immobiliser systems ABS and traction control systems
  • Airbag and SRS systems
  • Air conditioning systems
  • Diesel management systems
  • Automatic transmission systems
  • CAN bus systems
  • Service light resetting

NOTE: Failure in any of these basic systems can cause the check engine light to illuminate and falsely identify a circuit or component as the problem, which could lead to improper or unnecessary parts replacement.
